As an Expat who moved from Canada to Munich, I intimately understand the challenges of adapting to a new country and craving a sense of belonging.
During my time studying architecture, I learned the principles of designing purposeful spaces. However, it wasn't until the pandemic hit that I fully realized the transformative power of a well-designed home. My partner Phil and I left Munich and spent two years back in Canada, during which we transformed a barn into a spacious loft apartment. We spent a year designing and building it and then lived in it for a year. It was at this time, amid the restrictions that confined us indoors, that I experienced the profound impact of a well-designed home on a deeply personal level.
Every day, waking up in that space was an incredible feeling. That feeling is the reason I fell in love with helping others create spaces that uplift and empower them to live their best.

Knowing the market from an Expat’s point of view has helped me see the best of both worlds. While I love the personality expressed in North American home styles, I also have a deep appreciation for the clean, practical influence found in German interior design. The ability to take the essence of both and curate a space that feels personal and unique to you is the secret to capturing your story.
