Project Reveal Part I: Condo Design in Turks and Caicos
Today, we're taking you on a trip down memory lane to one of our favourite destination design projects: furnishing a dreamy Airbnb in the tropical paradise of Turks and Caicos.
We pulled out all the stops to create a space that exuded vacation vibes while still being cozy and functional for guests. From sourcing fabulous furniture to adding the finishing touches, we had a blast bringing this island oasis to life. The Living Area
Welcome to the heart and soul of this dreamy Turks and Caicos condo. From the elegant single bench sofa to the woven accents trickled throughout the room, this space is all about that clean beach house vibe. The living space was the largest area to furnish and style in the condo, and it was important for us to make sure that we did so in a way that was both cost-effective and stylish. Since the existing sofa is a quality piece in perfect condition, we decided to just give it new life by styling it with some fresh neutral throw pillows to amp up the comfort factor. We warmed up the space with this oak media stand from Target by Studio Mcgee and flanked the sides with these stunning solid wood chairs from Target by Magnolia.
Another area we were able to save our clients money on was by repurposing a console table as a desk for guests, providing a functional workspace for all you remote workers out there to get work done in paradise (in between pina coladas, of course!).
Being on an island, everything needs to be imported, which can be both complicated and expensive. That’s why we prioritized making the existing pieces of big furniture work in the design and then added the right accents and accessories to pull together the overall look and feel of the space. The details are everything, and we were so thrilled with how the wood and brass drapery holdbacks from Anthropologie elevate the drop cloth curtains (which were an extremely budget-friendly find, might I add!).
The result of this space is a beautiful and functional living area that is comfortable, stylish, and cost-effective. The space is a true reflection of vacation vibes and it’s the ultimate spot for guests to kick back and soak up that island lifestyle!

The Dining Area
While the dining area was an important part of the overall aesthetic of the condo, we also knew it needed to be functional for wear and tear, and most importantly, not break the bank. To achieve this, we kept the client's existing wood table and added simple, durable white chairs from Ikea. These chairs are crazy affordable, easily wipeable, and super light to move, making them perfect for a rental property.
We completed this space by adding a statement print from the Juniper Print Shop that ties in the calming tones of the surrounding areas and creates a focal point for the dining area.
The Patio
The patio design was just as important as the interior and was created to seamlessly bridge the outdoors inside, adding to the cohesive boho vibe of the living space. We used natural materials like rattan furniture and jute rugs to create a warm and inviting seating area.

The patio steps onto a lush green golf course which makes the views from this condo feel almost unbelievable with its pristine tropical botanicals and ocean views off in the distance. We wanted those vibes carried onto the patio so we incorporated a lot of potted plants and hanging greenery, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living. To top it all off, we added string lights and lanterns for when the sun goes down, creating a cozy atmosphere that will make you want to stay outside all night long. Whether you're taking in the breathtaking views or enjoying a cocktail with friends, this patio is the perfect place to soak up the island vibes and create unforgettable memories.
